Otherwise, the gourmet dining aboard the Royal Argosy was lovely. I think celebrating significant other's birthdays, anniversary's, on the cruise , well....i think it was nice for jack to celebrate with others. since family & friends are miles away. There was live music and the food & service was lovely. He was spoiled.

Jack ordered a crab dip that was to die for. Then we each had seafood chowder served with whole grain, homemade bread with tomato spread. Then for our entree, I had chicken with dungeness crab with some lovely sauce, asparagus, and garlic mashed potatoes. Jack, for his entree, ordered the catch of the day, halibut, with Seattle rice and snap peas.

Dessert or rather desserts were decadent. Jack didn't know he was going to have a birthday cake so at the beginning, he ordered the lava cake. I had the cheesecake. Of course, I don't have a sweet tooth, and couldn't really help him finish everything. So he has three gourmet desserts in the fridge right now, including my cheesecake.

I wanted his 30th to be memorable. He's been talking about going on a boat since we came here in June --- so I hope this fit the bill. :)
