jack finished all 3 or was it 4 boxes - of his girl scout cookies. and then finished his 1 1/2 dozen krispy kreme donuts... so he is jonesin' (his word) for some sweets.
as you all know i always cheat when i bake... so i had yellow cake mix in the pantry and just covered it with homemade peanut butter frosting. jack ate 4 in one sitting with a tall glass of cold milk.
here's the recipe for the frosting:
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup peanut butter (smooth or crunchy) - i used the organic creamy peanut butter and because of the oil - was a bit more runny.
1 teaspoon vanilla
Heat butter, milk and sugar and boil for 2 minutes. Add peanut butter and vanilla and stir until smooth.
