This weekend Jack and I took a 2 day trip to Lawrence, KS - about 3 hours away from Pittsburg. We watched the Bayanihan- the Philippine National Dance Company perform at he Lied Center. It seems all the Pinoys & Pinays in the entire midwest came out of the woodworks this evening. The dances were brilliant.
Next day, Jack and I took in Massachusetts Street with over 100 unique shops and restaurants. One of the restaurants, Mad Greek, hosted a Mediterranean and Italian fare. We ate our plates up.
My favorite Greek dish is dolmas - graped leaves stuffed with ground sirloin and rice and with egg-lemon sauce over it. Whenever I can get it, I order it! Jack got his favorite - gyros.
Our bellies were really happy and gave us the energy to do SHOPPING in the big city. hee.

Mmmm...dolmas. My fave is fresh falafel sandwiches and a side of tabbouleh salad.
