jack and i had a small, simple anniversary this year. jack had to work in portland and didn't come home until nearly 11pm. but he had the day off the next day so we were out & about in seattle.
even though my poor hubby was so tired from working in portland and then endured a 3 hour drive home... he managed to come home with flowers and a card where he wrote something so sweet that it makes people gag.
i cooked a simple dinner of flank steak (in the broiler) and pasta salad. and we had fruit torte from the bakery and opened our bottle of muscat canelli from the oldest winery in wa (chateau ste. michelle) when we were last there.
the next day, we trekked on to international district for lunch and just explored throughout seattle and ended up...yes, at the new & improved mall in tukwila, wa. where we watched "dark knight."
he's been spoiling me ever since. and this coming weekend we're going to the washington coast (the cranberry coast) to camp... and then explore the beach area in westport.
