My good friend, Laurel and her sister did their annual fall canning - a part of their traditional heritage and culture. She grew up as a Mennonite in Idaho. She even used herbs from her own garden.
The cool thing is...of course, her friends and family benefit from that tradition. hee I saw Laurel last Friday and she delivered these goodies to us.
A couple of cans of pizza/pasta sauce (to die for!), pickled jalapenos, and dill pickles. I can't wait to taste them.
And Jack and I want to learn how to can.
